On August 19, 2002, the Society of Professional Scientists and
Engineers sent two letters (see attached), one to Senator Bob
Graham of Florida, Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on
Intelligence, and one to US Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham.
Both letters concern The US Department of Energy's counterintelligence
polygraph screening program for employees at Lawrence Livermore
National Laboratory and the other two national weapons laboratories.
