In June, the Society of Professional Scientists and Engineers (SPSE) conducted a survey of almost 5000 employees belonging to three major job categories* at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). The purpose of the survey was to find out what the major issues are that concern employees, so that SPSE can better represent them. It is not a coincidence that we conducted this survey while the negotiations for the new UC-DOE contract are being initiated.
Attached is an executive summary highlighting the results of this survey. Additional details, including the raw data and graphical analysis of the responses, are available on our website.
*
100-series employees include administrators,
human resource specialists, and the Laboratory's director. 200-series
